C&C Music Factory had a hit song a few years back. OK, so I am OBVIOUSLY dating how old I really am since now that I think about it, it has been the better part of nearly 15 years ago. And to think... I used to laugh and think my parents were SO OLD whenever they said "You know, twenty years ago..."
OUCH! I truly AM getting old!
So, I have been recently transplanted from Wisconsin to Minnesota. I had lived here in MN, along-side Mr. Right, for less than one week when I happened upon a job posting in a local weekend shopping guide. Interesting... a position posted for "full-time, one year commitment".
Things that make you go.... HMMM....
Mr. Right happened to take a promotion with a one-year commitment, which means that I am here for... YEP, you guessed it... ONE YEAR!
Interesting.
Needless to say, I found the ad on a Saturday afternoon and the deadline to apply for it was 3pm Monday. Needless to say, Sunday was spent updating my resume, writing a letter of inquiry and contacting my references so that they are not alarmed by a random phone call.
So, we'll see what comes of it. (Mr. Right reminds me that it is difficult to catch fish without putting your line in the water.) The open position starts in just 7 days so, I would hope to hear SOMETHING by the end of the week. If not, I guess I will have to continue exploring other career opportunities in MN.
